Yes, the person signing the document must be physically present in front of the notary to have their signature witnessed.
We require one of the following forms of ID:
State-issued Driver’s License or Non-Driver’s ID
A U.S. passport or a foreign passport stamped by the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services
A United States military ID (must include a photo, signature, and ID number, as some current military IDs may lack all required information)
An inmate identification card from the Florida Department of Corrections or the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Federal Prisons
A driver’s license issued by a public agency in Canada or Mexico authorized to issue such licenses
A valid foreign passport or a consular ID issued by the applicant’s country of citizenship
An identification card issued by a federally recognized tribal government
Expired IDs, photocopies, and electronic versions are not accepted. The name on the document must match the ID.
